A person arrested for DUI / DWI / Drunk Driving in Nevada will face 2 separate proceedings.

I. The Civil Administrative Hearing

The DMV will determine whether your driver’s license will be revoked based upon the BAC and adequate probable cause for the arrest.

II.The Criminal Proceedings

in court proceedings where guilt or innocence on the charge of DUI/DWI will be established by a judge. Cases are almost never dismissed but borderline cases are often dealt to an offense of something other than a DUI/DWI.
